Bypass web site

For details of the proposed Manchester Airport - Hazel Grove - Bredbury (SEMMMS) proposals, including the latest news, look here:

http://www.stockport.gov.uk/content/transportstreets/traffictravel/semmms/?a=5441

Funding has only been made available for the section from the airport to Simpson's corner (A6 Hazel Grove).

Your link doesn't work, nedsram.

Or rather it gets you on to Stockport MBC's website, but to a notice which tells you that the page isn't available!

I hear on an authoritative grapevine, though, that, assuming it isn't "Osborned out" next year, it'll be very modest, a road for "austerity Britain" - no whacking roundabouts or grand civil engineering, just a basic road, with traffic lights at the major intersections such as the A6 and A523 ...

Thanks for pointing that out John. They've moved it to here:

Thanks, nedsram - that one works fine! Though it doesn't tell you a lot when you get there ...

The web site has reverted to the previous owners:

http://www.semmms.info/a6/

So far there is no news on the latest delay - nor can I confirm or deny rumours that it has been scrapped altogether.
