Get all the messy bits and pieces that don't involve digging done now, Belvoir, and then you can do all the fun stuff and planting at a steady pace and really enjoy it, once the weather finally improves. It can't stay cold for ever ... can it?!

sorry didn't mean to be "sarci" but you are right, it is dead on here at the moment, we need a Mr Motivator to lift the content a little, perhaps someone could post a few whimsies to brighten our day, i'll start it off, i'm going to the city game tonight!

Soz, my contributions have been a bit thin on the ground Bel - real life getting in the way again

Our garden also needs tending but it'll have to wait until after the builders have been in. S'why I didn't mind the snow so much - it covered a multitude and made our small plot look like everyone elses for a few days!

Bit of Hazel Grove news - I've just read that the Friends of Torkington park are to keep going. Three new committee members have been elected including Oliver Johnstone as secretary! Well done to out going officers and good luck to the new committee :clap

Re: City.....with all this money now sloshing around the club, are we going to see City bring some silver-ware home soon Dave? My lad is the only boy in his whole class who supports City and that's because I MAKE HIM! He's getting a bit fed up with all the jokes but as I've said many times, only people with good senses of humour can be City supporters! :D

being a city fan isn't about enduring taunts from other fans, it's akin to having an incurable disease, but one you can embrace with all your heart.

Good job there are dictionaries around so that we can look up what "chitting" means Belvoir. Often wondered what you had to do before you plant them.

You're ahead of me, Belvoir - haven't bought mine yet. Watch the frost doesn't nip the little chits! More of a risk than usual, given this year's weather. Got yer onion sets yet? I usually buy onion sets and seed potatoes at the same time ...

Dave, I thought City fans routinely find themselves alone, in a world so totally awash with United enthusiasts. I remember going into the cathedral in Varna and getting into conversation with the priest on duty, whose English was marginally better than my Bulgarian. Somehow I managed to convey that I came from near Manchester. "Ah", he said, in sudden comprehension: "Manchester United!!" A politician I know who's a fanatical City fan says that supporting City's got something in common with being a Liberal Democrat - too often, it's involved the triumph of hope over experience!

Still, I suppose it could be worse. Not too much joy in being a County fan at the moment ...

CHITTING! Oh-er Missus. I'm flabbergasted Nedsram let that stay!

Just setting my peas. Am in need of several cane type structures or teepees for them to grow up but don't want to pay much (anything) for them. So I'm on the scrounge for ideas.
