Ardderchog, nedsram - bendigedig! Just shows it's no use me trying to be a pretentious show-off in here, when there's professional computer buffs around who know that you can find the meaning of anything and everything via the web! I didn't know about that site - nice to know, especially as it's hosted by the Welsh department of my old university.

But I thought that was a good motto for a forum such as this. And, in any case, for me it's a sort of personal motto as well ...

I've not tried the Horseshoe for food, Belvoir - it only did bar snacks at one time, but more recently seems to have started to do more ambitious food again. I didn't know it had been a distinguished eatery in the more distant past. It's the one on the corner of Windlehurst Road.

been thinking about the robin hood for some time now and i reckon it would make a great micro-brewery, it's not too far out and it's on a bus route so camra members wouldn't have to walk too far and brewing your own beer is miles cheaper than buying off a brewer and if anyone out there has the pennies, i've got the enthusiasm and some knowledge. ;)

Bus stop right outside, Dave - the real ale enthusiasts could fall right off the bus and into the door. Though I suppose the falling would be something they'd be more likely to do on the way out, rather than in ...

Probably best to publicize it to Disley and Derbyshire CAMRA-ites, so they wouldn't have to cross the road to catch the bus for home at closing time ... !

Hi Sundave

Let me know when you open this microbrewery and I'll inform the High Peak and North East Cheshire branch (the Disley and Derbyshire CAMRA-ites). :)

wasn't saying that i would open a micro in the robin, just that if someone out there had a spare quarter million i would be more than happy to put my little bit of knowledge to good use and my taste buds to even better use and get the project going and perhaps earn a decent wage at the same time.
if anyone out there is interested pm me and we can talk!
