Aye, and that's on an open thread, not just the PM facility! Some days, you can moan in solitary confinement - nobody visits!

BUT....t'other forum was like a graveyard a few years back. It's gained in popularity because things were kept moving. Only one way to make that happen here as well and that's to just chat til a few lurkers get up the courage, register and join in.

Grover, Belvoir, Adamski, Dave, Netti, Ned, Lizzie, Tiredgrover, Tyra, Woodcutter and if we're really lucky - Zzippy, are all knocking about, plus us three. That's enough for a good conversation, innit? Now all we need is a really good (probably controversial) topic and we're away!

Problem is - I can't face discussing gritting, bins, immigration or travellers again and there's nowt much else happening in the Grove (that I'm aware of) just now!

The Poynton section on here is kicking - they've got Waitrose, shared space and car parking charges to get their teeth into! Hazel Grove....well, there's a street lamp gone out down our road........

Actually, that's just reminded me of summat - I shall start a new thread!

I wonder what they must do with all the food that gets wasted? Surely, with so few customers, tonnes and tonnes of the stuff must go out of date and have to be binned?

Must just big it up for a lady who works behind the post office counter within the Co-Op though - she's called Mary and she's FAB! :clap I'm sure they're all very good at their jobs but I love it when I get served by this woman - she's red hot on Special Deliveries :D :clap

It doesn't get wasted - it ends up on the "close to sell by" sections, and I save myself £££ by going in there when there's a lot, buying it all up, and filling the freezer. Well, I'm on me pension now - conspicuous wealth's now only a memory. (More a dream, in reality!)

Always strikes me that the average age of Co-op customers looks about 78. Makes me feel quite at home (naturally!), but I wonder how many people would go in if it wasn't for the post office. The place has a rusting, forlorn, faded, weed-choked look.

And it's still in the old Co-op colours, whereas Great Moor Co-op's been tarted up in their new livery.
