TAKE CARE at the temporary lights on Park Lane

Postby ScoobyDoo » Thu Feb 04, 2010 2:28 pm

Please, please, please be careful when using the junction on Park Lane where the temporary lights are, I've just witnessed an accident.

An emergency response paramedic car was travelling up Park Lane and was hit in the side by a car coming out of Bulkeley Road :(

I have no idea whose fault it was, I wasn't close enough to see, the emergency vehicle didn't seem to slow down for the junction, but the other car may have squeezed through on red as so many do. Possibly just "one of those things" :(

I hope all occupants were ok, an ambulance arrived soon after.

I come out of that junction every morning and always have a quick look but I imagine no one would have stood a chance with a vehicle moving so fast. I'm going to extra vigilant in future

Yesterday, a Paramedic car travelling up Park Lane pulled out to pass the line of vehicles and travelled through the lights at RED.
He was not displaying any blue lights or had the sirens going.

Wonder if it was under the same circumstances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
